A hardy variety of S. purpurea, growing in the nature more north then ssp venosa, forming a very broad, not too high pitchers, staining nicely on red color. This species doesn`t produce a lot of digestive enzymes, often in their pitchers is water from rainfall. Very hardy variety – they were acclimatized succesfully on bogs in Europe.
