Petiolaris Complex sundews

Group of sundews from northern Australia, forming a semi-circular rosettes completed a round-trap. Very interesting look like a coral reef, most of them with unusual coloring. These are species that live in the wild on the sunlit positions, usually wet and sandy. Also in the home culture feel best in warm terrariums with strong light and wet substrate.

These sundews may enter a period of dormancy. During this time, some species produce reduced leaves and often do not open their traps, as in Drosera fulva, ordensis, or paradoxa. In others, such as D. falconeri or D. kenneallyi, the above-ground parts may die back completely. Dormancy typically lasts 1–3 months, after which the plant regenerates and once again displays its beautiful appearance.
