Single, young plant forming typical pitchers.

Quite low hybrid of S. purpurea and S. rubra, growing usually in very dense clumps, forming a large number of trumpets and reaching approx. 30 cm in height. S. `Maroon` creates a beautiful, purple stained pitchers and broad lids.
