{"id":190,"count":1,"description":"Cobra lily (Darlingtonia californica) is a carnivorous plant that naturally occurs in the western regions of North America. In the wild, these remarkable plants grow both in lowland bogs and on serpentine-rich mountain slopes, often near cold, fast-flowing mountain streams.\r\n\r\nThe leaves of Darlingtonia are modified into highly specialized trapping organs. Some pitchers grow upright, while others trail along the ground. Each trap is topped with a helmet-shaped hood and two distinctive appendages resembling a fish tail. The area around the opening of the pitcher is covered with nectar-producing glands that attract insects with abundant sweet secretions. Lured by the scent, the prey enters the trap and slips irreversibly deeper inside. The lower part of the pitcher contains digestive fluid, where the captured insects are broken down and absorbed by the plant.","link":"https:\/\/carnisana.cdngmc.dev\/en\/Product-categories\/darlingtonia\/","name":"Darlingtonia","slug":"darlingtonia","taxonomy":"product_cat","parent":0,"meta":[],"menu_order":9,"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/carnisana.cdngmc.dev\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/product_cat\/190","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/carnisana.cdngmc.dev\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/product_cat"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/carnisana.cdngmc.dev\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/taxonomies\/product_cat"}],"wp:post_type":[{"href":"https:\/\/carnisana.cdngmc.dev\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/product?product_cat=190"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
